Down Under (Extra Task for Fast Finishers)

My Reflection

I was learning to find information about Australia. I find it easy because I went to Australia before. My next step is to find information about another country.

T4 Te tuhi Collage

My Reflection

On Monday, Room 29 went to Te Tuhi. We made a Collage, we first had to rip the colored into palm sizes and then stick them onto the paper, then we had to use a special paper and a magazine that we like and use pencil to trace over it, and then magically it turn out the shapes on the magazines, after that we to cut out the shapes that we chose and then stick it on the paper, finally we had to use water colour to colour a few areas. I find it easy because I followed to the instructions. My next step is to learn another way of collage.

Term 4 Week 6

Fantastic Friday special assembly

Last Friday, our whole school had a special assembly, we had to sit in our fantastic Friday groups because it was the last week for fantastic Friday, we had to represent the things that we had done over the 5 weeks.

First, we went to the auditorium and sat down and then we saw a Pukeko called Parkeko and a lady to share to us next Friday there will be a fun event happening on the reserve on 3-5 pm.

Second, the sewing group represented their sewing, their sewing was a owl ornament and a pot holder, then they spoke to us how they done it, it was really nice.

Third, the ukulele group went on the stage where they presented a song called the bird song, it was a great tune, they had pratised the song for 5 weeks.

Fourth, the Cool Science group went to represent what they had done, they had showed us the videos that that they had recorded, the explosions are so cool.

Fifth, Glee group showed up on there dancing and singing their actions were great.

Sixth, it was my African beading group that showed up, I was in that group, they showed a slideshow with us and the two student held up the Christmas tree with our designs on it. It was really nice.

Seventh, the traditional sports group showed up, they had be doing sports around the world, they showed up a film about the games, it was cool.

Eighth, the vintage games showed up, they showed up a video about what vintage games had they done.

Overall I thought it was a great assembly. I am looking forward to do Fantastic Friday again next year.

My Fractured Fairy Tale

My Reflection

I was learning to write my body and the conclusion of my Fractured Fairy Tale. I had to go to my narrative planner to remember my plan and then I have to write the body and the conclusion of my fractured fairy tale. I find it easy because I know how to write the body and the conclusion of a narrative. My next step is start learning another type of writing.

Animal Scavenger Hunt

My Reflection

I am learning to find information about animals. I had to search up the animal that the teacher have gave to us the information about the animal. I find it easy because I know some of the animals. My next step is to learn about the animal that I don't really know.

I was learning how to breath properly on freestyle. I think I did will on roll when I breath. I think I still need to work on put my ear on my arm when I breath.

I am learning to link implicit and explicit information in the text. I find it easy because I know how to do it. My next step is to learn more about this.

Term 4 Week 5

Fantastic Friday

Last Friday,  Abimbola and I went to do Fantastic Friday African bead work again, this is our second last chance to finish the bead work.

First, we went to Room 14 and Abimbola and I set on the table and continued with our bead work, we were doing a candy cane which made from very very small beads as small as a sesame seed, we put the beads on and on the wire until we were finish.

Next, I was finished with my bead work and I went to the teacher, the teacher gave me another thin wire to do the parts that I didn't put beads on, so I went to the table again to do the other thin wire, I attached the thin wire on the fat wire and then I put beads until the thin wire was full.

Finally, I went to the teacher again and the teacher accept it and Mrs Howard taked a couple photos about me and then I can help people, but  then the suddenly it was the time to go to back to class.

Overall, it was a great fantastic friday, I am looking forward to go to the last fantastic friday this week.

The introduction for my fractured fairy tale

I was learning to write a introduction to my fractured fairy tale. I find it easy because I know the structure of a narrative. My next step is to write the body and the conclusion about my fratured fairy tale.

I am learning to link ideas to give the reader more understanding. I find it easy because I know how to link ideas. My next step is to learn more about mammals

Narrative Writing lesson 1

My Reflection

I am learning to identify the structure of a narrative. I have to first put the fairy tale in order and then write the framework about Little Red Riding Hood. I find it easy because I know what is the structure. My next step is to write a narrative fairy tale.

Term 4 Week 4

Inquiry Showcase

Last Thursday, Room 28/29 went to look at the inquiry showcase that the classes had done in the auditorium.

First, we went to the auditorium and looked at the things. My favourite thing is two cups and there is a string in the middle of it and when you speak the sound travels through it, I find it really interesting. The other interesting thing I have found was the parts of the body.


Next, Mr Wright let us share what we have learnt in this inquiry showcase about well being. I learnt that when the amount of water can change the sound of the bottle. I have also learnt that what do we do after school and what does adults do when they are small the two of them if you compare it to each other there is a lot of difference.

Overall I thought it was a brilliant day I have learnt a lot from Well being, I am looking forward to look at a inquiry showcase again!
