I was learning how to draw a picture by reflecting my name from one side to the other.

I found this easy because to miror my name from the side to other.

My next step is to learn a new stategy.

My Reflection

I have been learning to write a recipe.We read George 's Marvellous Medicine and used this story to inspire us to create our own Marvellous Medicine.
I found this easy because the book give me a Lot's of ideas to write a medicine recipe.
My next step is to write more recipes.

I have been learning to relate to the characters in the text.

We have been reading George 's Marvellous Medicine and I thought of some words to describe Grandma from what I learnt about her in the story.

I found this diffcult because it is hard to choose the right word to describe grandma.

My next step is to use more of the words that the author talks about like evil,mean,selfish and groach.

Identifying different types of words

My Reflection

I have been learning to identify nouns,verbs and adjectives.  A noun is person,place or thing.  A verb is a doing word.  An adjective is a describing word.  I found this work easy because I already know what a noun is.  My next step is to do some harder nouns.

I found this work interesting because it was factual and it taught me a lot about insects.
I would have like to come up with more ideas for my time.
The best part of this is learning about insects and what they do.
My next step is to continue reading more books.

My Multiplacation Strategys

I found Place Value Strategy easy because you just need to split the number into tens and ones and when you finish split the numbers you gonna write them in brackets times them and then add the sums.

I found Compensation Strategy tricky because you need to subtract and add.

 
My next step is to do more and practice more on my Compensation Strategy and my speaking loudly clearly and write the numbers small because it need fantastic recording.

My Speech

I have been learning to write a persuasive speech.
A persuasive speech needs to have an introduction, a point of view, 3 reasons to backup.
I found this tricky because it take a long time to write the speech.

That was the holidays

Have you ever smelled the school holidays?
Sure you have.  

Remember that time you went swimming in the swimming pool?
The water was so freezing cold that you couldn't get out and into the warm spa pool.
Warm water bubbling ,feeling nice and relaxed.
That was the holidays.

The frozen ice cream was dripping sticky cream all over the ground.

My Reflection 

I have been learning to write a poem using descriptive language.
We used the poem "That was Summer" by Marci Ridlon as inspiration.
I found this tricky because it takes a long time to write the poem.If you writing a poem using desriptive language you need use 5 senses which is see, smell, hear, touch and taste
My next step is to write more interesting.

Roald dahl Little red riding hood

My Reflection:
We have been reading Roald Dahl stories because on 13th September it was Roald Dahl Day.  Today we watched the revolting rhyme, Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf.  We compared the characters from this poem and the original story.  The poem was intresting.
